Rents are out of control for many families in our community, and mortgage rates and property taxes are unpredictable for folks as well. We need to work on innovative solutions to lower the high cost of housing like tax credits for attainable housing, a more predictable property tax system, and capping application fees for rental housing. We also need to make sure housing in Colorado is safe, there's no reason families should be raising their kids around black mold and water damage, and landlords and sellers need to be held accountable for covering up health and safety hazards.
